The other day I blogged about the unbelievable swedish style painted furniture that I found. Just an AMAZING set!! You can find the post here.
I mentioned that there was a little chair and broken settee that I didn't picture.
Well, here they are!
They are different- maybe even a bit odd?
I don't know.
I am not sure what to make of them. I have not seen anything like them before.
I am wondering if any of you out in blog land know anything about these chairs- age, style, etc...
~
Here's a bit about them:
-They are short- pretty low to the ground. The lady selling them said they were called childrens chairs and they were in her bedroom growing up.
- Lots of carvings and details on the legs, apron, arms and back.
-The settee is broken- the back is broken off and the chair has been repaired. Both can be fixed, but will probably need to be painted
They seem to be antique- I have lots of books on antiques and styles but these kind of stump me. I don't know what style, age. etc to put them in.
The stuffing is old- but the upholstery matches the upholstery on the other furniture
Anyway, I am really without inspiration on these at this point.
They came with the set of Swedish stuff I bought- which I LOVE- and it was all the pieces or nothing, so I was not particularly drawn to them, but ended up with them anyway.
I figure with all those carved details, they would probably look amazing painted and re-upholstered, though.
