WHITE PUMPKINS~ HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!


    There is something about white pumpkins that I just love.

    Maybe it's that they are quiet and serene...

    That they easily nestle in to most decorating styles and colors

    That they are so sweet in their shabby white, pale gray and soft yellow tones

    Or just that they are charming

    What ever it is,
    this year my love affair with those little white pumpkins has
    been bigger than ever.

    We did pick up the beautiful oranges for jack o lanterns
    and we placed a few more wee oranges in the window boxes
    for some Autumn color

    Though it's mostly been the white ones that have
    found themselves dotting little vignettes
    here and there

    I love white pumpkins and seashells

    We live in a historic area of California that gets loads of colorful leaves and trees
    and it is so beautiful to walk the trails with them falling all around you.
    Not so great for my allergies... but beautiful!

DREAMY RUFFLES



    It's true...


    I have been having a bit of a love affair.



    What can I say?
    I have no excuse ...
    I can't even apologize for it...

    because I kind of like it

    I have been drawn to the romantic lately.
    To the dreamy, the shabby, the delightfulness of faded colors,
    vintage fabrics and lots of
    ruffles.


    Remember the bedskirts I used as a tablecloth that were from O.co?
    I didn't really see bedskirts when I bought them.
    I saw table linens, a duvet cover for my bed, pillow covers
    and slipcovers



    I had a round ottoman that was needing some love...
    and the ruffled part of the bedskirt was the perfect length
    so I got out the scissors and turned the ruffles into a slipcover.



    I am loving how it turned out
    and with all it's dreamy white ruffliciousness...
    the ottoman is perfect for a little shabby cottage room re-do
    I am working on
