VINTAGE BENCH

    A vintage bench
    with a little ruffled slipcover
and a couple of favorite red floral pillows.

I found this bench at a yard sale
stacked up atop another piece of furniture
and covered with oh so lovely peach fabric

But, I saw past the 1970's look and noticed the gorgeous details
really wonderful length it had and so it came home with me.
It's been in my bedroom at the foot of my bed...
or in the dining area at the table...
or here in my English Cottage sitting area...

    Or now...
just against a wall in the living room with a vintage chalkboard
and couple of pillows atop it.
    Yep.
    It gets around.

I decided to make a little slipcover so it would be a bit more neutral in the room.
    Using a dropcloth-
I cut a 6 inch strip of fabric for the ruffle and sewed away.

It's a loose fitting- just drape it over slip- which I love.
I was thinking of adding a grain sack stripe-
but am enjoying it as it is for now.

This vintage chalkboard travels all over the house as well
and found a perfect spot to lean against the wall
with a favorite quote of mine written on it

We had a dusting of snow this morning here...
soooo not ready for winter to arrive yet!

I've been huddled inside next to a warm fire
working on a couple things and browsing books and blogs for
    some Holiday inspirations.

    Happy Sunday Everyone!!
