Christmas is my favorite time of year to decorate.

Decking the halls with holly, fresh greens & a bit of bling
fairy lights, silver and gold and lots of glistening bits...
I love it.

Chandeliers draped with greenery,
ornaments filling jars and bowls
&
wee trees all over the house add Holiday cheer.

Last year,
I decorated my bedroom with a big wreath above my bed
and lots of glistening gold ornaments and ribbons galore.
This year...
as it seems to be all over the house...
I am feeling like adding more quiet decorations.
Pearly whites, soft pale pinks, silvers & muted old golds.
Natural tree's and branches
bits of berries and just a few ornaments.
In my bedroom, because I have
red in here- I do add a bit more color either way!

I am not a fan of real snow...
too cold and frosty for me, but I do enjoy the faux variety.
Fresh greens draped over the antique headboard behind my bed
are dusted with faux snow.
Each year, my NOEL letters come out for a bit and sit atop the shelf.
This year their bright silver and gold finish was lightened a bit
with a few touches of white.

One of my bistro chairs came inside
to sit near the commode that serves as my nightstand.
It's a perfect spot to stack my latest reading.
I love the red berry twig wreath tied to the back.
The check draperies are on the list for a change with a new look
for the bedroom that I have planned.
( One of these days I will get to it!)

White quilts, a red pastoral toile coverlet
and several pillows warm up our bed.
My favorite red checked antique settee
is the perfect spot to sit and wrap a few presents while listening
to Christmas music

I just love the small chubby tree in the rusty galvanized bin
It has just a few white ornaments and starfish
and a wee dainty silver vintage inspired garland.

Here is the mantel in our bedroom as it looks for the moment lol!
I say that, because I have decorated it 3 separate times and
have not been 100% happy yet- so it just might change again!!
A snowy wreath hangs from a faux window
I have a snow covered tree in my bedroom that you can
catch a glimpse of in a couple of the photos
so the wreath continues the flocked look.
I laid a few fresh pine boughs atop some dried silvery leaves.
A simple crystal swag, silver ornaments and berries
bring the bling and color.
A couple of those darling little boxwoods
and tall candelabras and it's finished.

I really wanted to use my antique art nouveau brass candelabras...
when I brought them in,
I bumped into something and broke a couple of the arms off of one.
:(
I can fix them with JB Weld- but it takes some time.
So, for now these gray ones will have to do.

Oh yes!! I almost forgot!!
