I am one of those girls that loves
going to Home Depot & Lowes.
Love the smell of fresh cut lumber!
The oodles and oodles of design and remodel ideas...
Tile. Flooring. Kitchen & bath elements, lighting...
well... let's just say I could be there for hours.
I wandered into the garden center at Home Depot the other day
& bumped into a big old stack of delightful nubby burlap.
Burlap is great for so many designs.
It's perfect for pillows, place mats, tables, drapes,
wrapping pots of herbs, lining the back of a bookshelf, etc.
A huge 7' x 7' piece was just $3.98.
I have purchased burlap at the fabric store for quite a bit more than that
and the burlap is only 54" wide at most-
These are 84" wide which is perfect
for making into drape panels or using on a table.
I used 2 of them on the 9' outdoor table and just overlapped them in the center
though it would be easy enough to sew them to your desired size.
The pretty pink blooms are from one of the trees in our driveway.
They are a perfect foil to the rustic texture of the burlap.
So lovely for an evening garden party.
It's been a busy week here this week and I am a bit behind on my visits.
My youngest just became an 8th grader yesterday...
My middle guy will become an upper class guy (11th grade) tomorrow..
My oldest graduated HS last year too...
sniff...sniff...
Can't believe my babies are already so big...
or
that I am old enough to have kids so big!!
