It was a gorgeous day in the Wine Country yesterday.
I love the rolling hills covered in wine grapes, the stately old rock buildings and sweet charming
farmhouses... it is such a beautiful area.
While we there, we went over to Petaluma for a couple of hours for a little something special.
Inside a quaint little antique store named
there was a special event.
Summer Cottage is a great store filled with so many inspiring treasures...

Miss Fifi O'Neill!
She was there for a book signing event celebrating her
new book

I have followed Fifi's blog CHEZ FIFI along for awhile now
and was so excited to have an opportunity to meet her
when she came to the wine country.
Summer Cottage AntiquesWhen I first walked in the store and shook her hand~ I felt like I had known her for years.
She is incredibly warm and gracious and so absolutely sweet~
she makes you feel like you are an old friend right away!
Adore her.

I got my copy of her book just over a month ago.
I didn't preview this one in the book stores but it does not disappoint~
I love it!

Filled with so many pretty spaces blanketed in soft, frenchy beautiful colors and furnishings.

store owner Michelle - whose charming cabin is featured.

I told Fifi that I was going to have to re-do my entire house after reading her book.
I was thinking of taking out some of the bold colors I usually use and going with more
grays, creams, greens and blues, etc. and she said she was thinking of adding color to her home!
She purchased that most fantastic sign in the top photo and it had a
gorgeous blue color as it's background~
can't wait to see where it ends up in her house!
